Igesund confirms Wome's staying

Cape Town - Gordon Igesund has confirmed that SuperSport United will exercise Dove Wome’s permanent option in his loan contract.

According to KickOff, Igesund reveals that the Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder will definitely be a SuperSport player next season.

“We took him on a loan deal from [Mamelodi] Sundowns, but in that loan deal there was an option that, ‘if you decide to keep the player, you have to pay x-amount,’ said Igesund.

“We have chosen to take that option, and Wome will be our player.”

The former Bafana Bafana coach admits that they have not notified Sundowns about their intentions but is confident the deal will happen.

“But I can tell you now in advance that we will take the option and we will sign him,” stated Igesund.

The 58-year-old has been one of the busiest coaches in the January transfer market, having lured Daine Klate back to Pretoria as well as securing the services of Ayabulela Magqwaka, Mothusi Gopane and Luvolwethu Mpeta.
