Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Gordon Igesund heaped praised on Platinum Stars goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe for earning his side a point in their goalless draw on Wednesday.
Dambe had to be on top form to keep United's strikers at bay at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace.
"I am disappointed that we did not win this game because their goalkeeper made some really world-class saves," Igesund told KickOff.
"He saved two efforts from Brockie, one from Bradley [Grobler] and two from Thuso Phala."
Igesund admitted he was expecting a tough game away from home against a team fighting for Premiership survival and was ultimately happy to come away with a point.
"When you are away from home and playing a team that is fighting relegation, it is always going to be tough," he said.
"Yes, at the end of the day, I am happy with the point because we move up to sixth now and we need to aim for a win now to consolidate our position in the top eight.
"It was always going to be a tough game but on the balance of play, we should have won the game.
"However, we must give credit to Platinum Stars who fought for every ball and made life very difficult for us."
