Furman looking to make SSU tick

Cape Town - Dean Furman reveals that he is looking forward to making SuperSport United tick under the guidance of Gordon Igesund.

Furman, 27, has agreed a two-year deal with an option to renew and will play in the number eight shirt.

The midfielder is seen as an ideal player to complete the steady line-up that Matsatsantsa has assembled for the 2015/16 season.

“These are obviously very exciting times for the club and for me,” says Furman on the club's official website.

“Hopefully, I can come here, cement my place in the starting eleven and do well for the club."

The midfielder has long been regarded as one of the most sought after midfielders in the Premier Soccer League and his grit on the field for the national team has garnered many admirers.

“I’m looking forward to bringing a bit of experience to the side. I’m a player who is fairly comfortable on the ball and have a good passing range which is probably the strongest part of my game.

“I’m looking forward to making the team tick under the guidance of coach Gordon Igesund.”

The signing of the former Chelsea FC youth player represents a coup for Matsatsantsa, who fought off stiff competition from various teams to tie down the midfielder.

Furman has 27 caps for South Africa and represented Bafana at two African Cup of Nations tournaments.
