Furman backs Itu comeback

Cape Town - SuperSport United midfielder  Dean Furman believes that the experience of Itumeleng Khune will come in handy for Bafana Bafana.

According to KickOff, Furman is counting on the experience Khune boasts in order to see South Africa come out victorious against Mauritania.

“Yeah, [experience is] very much [important]. The more experience we can have in the camp, the better it is,” said Furman.

“It’s great to see Itu back and fully fit in the squad, and he’ll be a big player for us – both on and off the pitch.

“That kind of experience from playing on the continent is vital for us and can only bode well for us in trying to be successful in this qualifying campaign.”

Bafana Bafana will look to come home with a victory on Saturday, September 5 against Mauritania in a AFCON 2017 qualifier.

Kick-off is at 20:00.
