Cape Town - Bafana Bafana captain Dean Furman has signed a two-year contract with SuperSport United and the midfielder says that it's a great thing for him.
Furman is pleased to link up with former Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund as well as former national team-mate Bongani Khumalo.
"I am very happy to be here," the CapeTown-born midfielder said.
"It's a big thing for me because the coach who introduced me to the national team is here with me at SuperSport and I happy that I will also be playing with Bongz [Bongani Khumalo].
"It's a new challenge for me and I am ready to face it head on. It's always good to be part of a team like SuperSport United where I will also learn from the other players and be part of the achievements with the team."
Furman left Doncaster Rovers at the end of last season after his contract with the League One club expired.
The 27-year-old midfielder failed to land a deal at Blackburn Rovers after spending some time on trial at the Championship club earlier in the British summer.
