Mamelodi Sundowns beat United 3-0 in an Absa Premiership clash at Loftus Stadium courtesy of an own goal from Mbhuyiselo Sambu, a spot kick from Teko Modise and a late strike from Rodney Ramagalela.

The Chilli Boys are now on a 12 game winless run.

According to KickOff, Middendorp said that it is that time of the season where Chippa need to remain strong as a unit.

“It’s definitely a frustrating time as a coach, as a team, as players and as supporters,” said Midddendorp.

“This is the time of the season when we must be strong, especially in the final six games and starting with the match against Swallows in Port Elizabeth.

“It’s important not to go into the final stages with fear. We must be strong, we must be positive and we must have confidence and belief in ourselves.”
