Former Buc tips SuperSport for PSL crown

Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Edelbert Dinha says the acquisition of Dean Furman will make Supersport United a strong contender for the PSL league title this season.

The former Zimbabwe international believes Gordon Igesund has pulled off a major coup, but didn't rule out the 'Big Three' and Gavin Hunt's Bidvest Wits, who have also strengthened heavily during the off-season.

"Without a doubt, Furman is a top player, one of the best for South Africa in recent times," the 36-year-old told Goal website.

"And he has everything you want from a modern midfielder, giving options in attack while he is also very good at defending.

"I think the new SuperSport signings show that they are a team on a mission, but the still have to play as a team for those signing to prove valuable to the team.

"If the coach can be able to get the combinations right, I have no doubt that they will conquer," he concluded.
