Fans predicted VV exit

Cape Town - Sport24 readers correctly predicted that Vladimir Vermezovic would be the next PSL boss to leave his role.

The writing was on the wall long before the news broke on Wednesday that Orlando Pirates would be looking for a new head coach as soccer fans were proved correct in a poll conducted on Sport24's website.

VV was pelted with missiles during his side's loss at home to Maritzburg United, which ultimately was the Serbian's last game in charge of the Sea Robbers.

While the now former Orlando Pirates coach insists he was not forced out of the Soweto club, a massive 44% of those who cast their votes in the poll were of the opinion VV would be the next coach to leave his post.

Almost half of those who voted elected the "Vladimir Vermezovic, he's next to walk the plank!" as their number one option.

What will worry defending PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns, Pitso Mosimane was installed as the second favourite to lose his job as per the fans. A staggering 32% believe that "Jingles" has had his time at Chloorkop.

Kosta Papic and Allan Freese can breathe slightly easier with fans not too confident that they will soon join the ranks of unemployed soccer coaches. The pair made up just 10% of the vote.

14% of those who voted believed that none of the above-mentioned coaches would be fired before another PSL manager. This minority have ultimately been proven incorrect.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates have lost the services of Thabo Qaalinge for Saturday's Soweto Derby.
