Cape Town - A fan has died after allegedly being shot during an altercation with a policeman during a pitch invasion at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Kaizer Chiefs claimed victory thanks to first half goals from Mandla Masango and Willard Katsande but their title celebrations were marred by the news that the spectator had died.

According to The Herald, the man died after a scuffle where a spectator allegedly tried to take a policeman's weapon during a pitch invasion.
