Masuku caused a stir this season scoring four goals in the four games he played for Pirates, one of which was awarded with the ABSA-lutely Goal of the Season award.

The 22-year-old was the only Buccaneer to win an award at the Premiership's end-of-season ceremony despite his limited playing time.

"Masuku is doing well at the senior team because of the effort we put into the juniors," Palacios told Soccer Laduma.

"We want to minimise the expenditure of the club as much as possible and develop our own talent.

"The work has been put into our development; people can expect to see more Masukus and other stars in different positions from this club in the season ahead."
