Cape Town - As the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium gears itself to host the first ever domestic football Cup final on May 16, the Premier Soccer League and sponsors, Nedbank, are preparing a number of festivities that will make the Nedbank Cup final memorable and historic.

Today, the PSL has confirmed that tickets for the Nedbank Cup final between former league champions Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town are now on sale.

Ticket prices will vary from R40 (South, East and North stand) and R80 (West stand only) and can be purchased at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers countrywide.

PSL CEO, Brand de Villiers said: “This is the first final to be held at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium since the stadium was built in 2009 for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and we are hoping that people from the Eastern Cape province will come in huge numbers on 16 May 2015 to be part of this showpiece.

"While football will remain the main attraction, we have a host of other activities that we are currently planning with Nedbank. We therefore urge people to go out and purchase tickets early.”

The PSL and Nedbank will communicate in due course about some of the festivities on the day which will include a performance by a mega music star.
