Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Muhsin Ertugral has applauded the striker Collins Mbesuma's recent form for club and country.
Mbesuma has been playing at a high-level since the beginning of the season, with the striker recently scoring the winning goal for Zambia against Kenya in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ertugral believes Mbesuma can rediscover his magic that saw him grab the Golden Boot in the 2004/05 season for Kaizer Chiefs with 25 goals.
"Mbesuma is on such a great run at the moment and he's fit. He lost seven kilos, he's fit and dynamic," Ertugral told KickOff.
"The problem with Collins all these years is that the teams he played for played far away. He's is not a player like Lebo Manyama who can make up the distance.
"He has one or two touches for a chance on goal. Obviously the team needs to defend high up and that was problem for us in the beginning.
"Our defence went backwards so we needed to get the defence higher up so that when we lose the ball, the distance is not that big so that we can stay up-front."
