Ertugral keeps Billiat at home

Cape Town - Muhsin Ertugral wants Khama Billiat to clear his head, leaving him out of Ajax Cape Town's squad for their PSL season opener.

Football411's website reports that Ertugral has told Billiat that he wishes for him to stay with the Urban Warriors and honour the contract he has with them, but that he needs to clear his head before he can play for them again.

Speculation has circled around the Zimbabwe international's future, with Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates thought to be interested, with reports suggesting that official offers have already been tabled to acquire his services, even when Billiat was training with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow during the off-season.

"I had a close chat with him in the week and I've decided to leave him out (for Saturday)," said Ertugral.

"We still want him here at Ajax and we've told him so, but the ball is now in his court.

"He must make a decision but for the moment his mind is not here, and so he'll be no use to us.

"A decision must be taken either way next week.

"I will put pressure on management to get the matter resolved.

"We'll see how it goes next week. Hopefully he'll stay with us."

The Urban Warriors will hope to get off to a good start to their 2013/14 season when they travel to King Zwelithini Stadium to take on Golden Arrows.
