Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Vladimir Vermezovic claims that it is good for the Buccaneers to lose during the early stages of the PSL.
Amabhakabhaka were unable to take their chances which saw them lose 2-1 to Moroka Swallows through a late strike courtesy of substitute Lerato Chabangu.
According to KickOff, the Sea Robbers coach said that despite a poor showing in front of goal with several opportunities he believes his team has learnt a good lesson.
“At the end of the day it may be good to lose at this early stage of the season, I do think my players learnt something from this which is important,” said Vermezovic.
“I said to the players after the SuperSport game last week that we can't miss from a lot of scoring opportunities because one day we are going to be punished for that."
“Unfortunately that is what happened against Swallows today, but it is the start of a long race, there are 29 games to come. But they must be more calm and smart in front of goals."
“The players know exactly where they made their mistakes and are going to fix them for sure.”
The Ghost’s next opponents are Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday, August 13 as they travel to the Free State Stadium in order to get their first PSL win.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
