'Downs want more than two trophies

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns striker Katlego Mashego reveals that the Chloorkop side are targeting more than two trophies.

According to Soccer Laduma, the 32-year-old that their main focus is advancing to the next round of the Telkom Knockout Cup following their quarter-final draw against AmaZulu.

"Our aim is to win more than two trophies knowing that only three are remaining, now we have to go all out and win this game to reach the semi-finals,” said Mashego.

“I know most of the times we don't play very well at home but that doesn't mean we don't win. We win at home and lose at home.”

“We should just focus on winning and if we can do it against AmaZulu in a cup game at home, then that will be great.”

After a poor start to the Absa Premiership Pitso Mosimane’s charges climbed back to the summit of the log holding firmly on fourth position - eight points off first position (Kaizer Chiefs) and two points off second spot (Ajax Cape Town).

Sundowns return to action on Saturday, October 18 at the Loftus Stadium in PSL encounter against Bidvest Wits. Kick-off is at 18:00.
