Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns continued their preparations for the second half of the 2014/15 season and saw the team lock horns and win against two PSL oppositions within three days.

According to the clubs official website, first up in the week was ABC Motsepe side Royal Eagles who were at the receiving end of a 4-0 drubbing, before Maritzburg United were handed a 1-0 defeat on Friday afternoon. Anthony Laffor scored for Sundowns against the Team of Choice.

The Brazilans then travelled to Free State to take on Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday in friendly match themed ‘Fight Against Gangsterism’ and also beat the PSL counterparts 1-0, a solitary first half goal from Lindokuhle Mbatha.

‘Downs and Siwelele played the symbolic match at the Kaizer Sebothelo Stadium in a show of support for the fans who were stabbed at the venue during Celtic’s 5-1 thrashing of Polokwane City in December.
