'Downs trio doubtful for Ajax clash

Cape Town – Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that three key players are doubtful for their PSL clash against Ajax Cape Town.

According to the club's website, Khama Billiat’s scan results came back and revealed he picked up a Grade 2 ankle injury, which places the former Urban Warrior midfielder in serious doubt ahead of the crucial league match against his former side.

Billiat was stretchered off in the match against Goldern Arrows after picking up the injury.

Thabo Nthethe, who was unavailable in Sundowns’ last match due to a groin injury has now picked up a hip injury and looks doubtful for yet another match.

Bongani Zungu is unavailable for the match due to his suspension after picking up the highly contentious red card against Arrows.

Anthony Laffor has not started training with the team after coming back from international duty with a hip injury and is still doibtfull for the coming clash.

Lindokuhle Mbatha continues with his rehabilitation after undergoing an operation.

Kick-off is on Wednesday, September 23 at 19:30.
