'Downs to release 6 players?

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are attempting to release all their contracted players that are not in the current plans of Pitso Mosimane.

Some of these players include Mukuka Mulenga, Hichani Himoonde, Luyolo Nomandela, Thela Ngobeni, Uzoenyi Ejike and Tiyani Madunda.

According to a source at the club, the team met with the players and they were told that they want all of them to leave before Monday, August 31 which is the closing day of the PSL transfer window.

"Yes, there are many players who won't be registered for this season and the management team and the technical team have agreed that they should all leave whether on loan, or go for good," the source said.

“But I think the team will call a press conference where they will announce all the changes at the team.

“But what I know is that by Monday most of these players should be playing for different teams.”
