'Downs to play in Tanzania tournament

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns have been invited to attend an International friendly four-team tournament in Tanzania later this year.

Coach Pitso Mosimane told Sport24 that it is good that they will he playing against top African countries like TP Mazembe, who have also been invited to the tournament in Tanzania.

TP Mazembe knocked Sundowns out of the CAF Champions League earlier this year, after a disappointing performance from the Brazilians away in the DRC.

However, Sundowns will get a chance to redeem themselves in next year’s edition, having qualified by finishing second in the PSL last season.

"You know we have been playing in Africa and not doing very well, but when we take part in that tournament in Tanzania it will give us the chance to look at how we can play in Africa " Mosimane told Sport24

“TP Mazembe will be there and it will be great to play against the team that booted us out of the CAF Champions league so that we can see where we can learn.

“You know we beat them at home and they beat us away.

“It's always good to play in Africa and learn.”
