Downs rally Tshwane support

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns have told their fans to ignore reports that Saturday's clash against Kaizer Chiefs has been postponed, and urged them to flock to the FNB Stadium in full force.

In what appears to be a ploy designed to limit the Brazilians supporters' impact on this weekend's Premiership tie, rumours have spread through social media suggesting the crunch encounter has been called off.

The Tshwane giants, though, have been quick to rubbish any such talk, with Sundowns Supporters national chairman Eazy Mampye telling the club's official website: "We have received number of enquiries concerning our Saturday's game against Kaizer Chiefs at FNB. As things stand the game is continuing as planned and we will play Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday 22nd of November 2014 at FNB.

“Once again I would like urge all supporters and our structures, provinces and branches to rally behind the club and organise transport to FNB.

"Some provinces have indicated that they are going to stadium on Saturday which is something that the club and technical team really appreciate.

"My request to all supporters is that let us all support the club and really be behind the players. Support matters most when things are not really going well and this what we are going to give to our Sundowns.

"We have to boost their confidence and allow them to make mistakes and they should know that we are not putting any pressure on them but instead we want them to express themselves in the field of play."
