According to KickOff, the Orlando Pirates midfielder has been linked with a move to Chloorkop throughout the transfer window with a hefty price tag attached to his name.
“First of all, in which other country do you have agents who make transfer announcements? This is the only country,” said Sundowns head of communications Joe Lategamo.
“We have agents who are trying to promote themselves and now as the club we are forced to answer questions.
“Then you have the R32m figures being thrown around. I mean, which South African club will pay that kind of money for a player? The German club [TSG Hoffenheim] paid around R15-million for Knowledge Musona; how can people think that Sundowns will pay R32-million for a player?”
Meanwhile, Pirates have been the busiest of all teams in the transfer window as Dr Irvin Khoza looks to reshuffle the Bucs squad.
They have already offloaded Tlou Segolela and Daine Klate while securing the services of Mpho Mvelase, Tshepo Gumede and Siyabonga Mpontshane.
