Dolly sets sights on Cup glory

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns winger Keagan Dolly believes the team has peaked at just the right time to contend for the Telkom Knockout.

After a stuttering start at the beginning of the season, Sundowns’ form has seemingly picked up with back to back wins in the Absa Premiership, Dolly’s brace powering the Brazilians to a 2-0 win against Jomo Cosmos at the weekend.

Sundowns face Chippa United in the first round of the Telkom Knockout at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday and Dolly is hopeful for a better showing than in the MTN8.

"We didn't start well and now we're getting into our stride and from here we move forward," Dolly told KickOff.

"We didn't do well in our first cup. We keep saying there are three more trophies to go and hopefully we'll get one under our belt.

"Credit must go to the coach Pitso Mosimane and the coaching staff. The coach is very determined and very ambitious and it rubs off on the players, and we work hard for him.

"We haven't had the best start to the season but we have been working hard and it paid off against Cosmos on Sunday."

Kick-off is at 20:15.
