Dolly injury not major

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town midfielder Keagan Dolly sustained an injury to a toe on his right foot in training, however, the Ajax medical team are positive that Dolly will make a full recovery very soon.

The Urban Warriors have been hard at work as there won’t be any Absa Premiership action until next weekend when Ajax face Maritzburg United at Cape Town Stadium, November 22 with kick-off set to take place at 20:15.

While Rivaldo Coetzee gears up with Bafana Bafana for their 2015 AFCON qualifier against Sudan this Saturday, November 15, Dolly and the rest of the Ajax team have been training at Ikamva.

“Keagan sustained an injury to his foot during a training session, where another player stepped on his foot,” said the Urban Warriors physiotherapist Jantu Greyling on the club's website.

“I assessed him, and luckily it was only an injury to his ‘small toe’ (5th Phalanx). We will do the necessary investigations, but hopefully Keagan will be back in training soon.”

Dolly will continue to be monitored in the coming days the club confirmed.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
