Dikwena confirm new signings

Cape Town - Ahead of the 2015/16 Absa Premiership season, Platinum Stars confirmed their new signings for the 2015/16 season.

Dikwena embarked on the pre-season preparation from the June 23 where the team spent most of its pre-season at its Bafokeng Sports Campus.

The first week comprised of full medicals screening and tests which was handled at the Kgosi Leruo High Performance Centre and to date the team has played a number of preparatory matches including the participation in the Bokone Bophirima Maize Triangle Challenge which Dikwena were crowed the inaugural winners of the tournament.

In the last weekend Dikwena took part in the Mbombela Football Spectacular and finished runners up after losing 4-1 on penalties to the Mpumalanga Black Aces.

“Our preparations have been going well and we are confident that we have a team that will compete in the coming season,” Stars coach Cavin Johnson confirmed.

“I am happy and grateful for the support that the management has shown to me and the entire team in the past few months that I have been a part of this wonderful family.

“This season, success belongs to those that want it and we will showcase nothing but good football that will leave the hearts wanting more.

“Let the season resumes and South African football brace itself for sparks of encouragement”

The following are the new additions to the Dikwena squad:

Permanent deals:

Sibusiso Gumede, centre-back from Bidvest Wits.
Siyabonga Zulu, a left back from Orlando Pirates.
Bouna Coundoul, Senegalese international goalkeeper.
Mbongeni Mzimela, goalkeeper from Chippa United.
Khulekani Madondo, central-midfielder from AmaZulu

Loan deals:

Robin Ngalande (Bidvest Wits)
Bonginkosi Ntuli (Mamelodi Sundowns)
