United have gone three league matches without a win after losing 1-0 away to log leaders Kaizer Chiefs last month.

The KwaZulu-Natal team is unbeaten at home this season, with two wins and a draw from three matches.

Their next three league opponents are SuperSport United (away), University of Pretoria and Bloemfontein Celtic (both home).

Steve Komphela’s Team of Choice find themselves placed eighth on the Absa Premiership standings with nine points from seven matches.

Dikwena have gone four league matches without a win and were held to a goalless draw by University of Pretoria last month.

The Rustenburg side has claimed three points from as many away matches so far this season.

Their next three league opponents are Ajax Cape Town, Moroka Swallows (both away) and Orlando Pirates (home).

Allan Freese’s side are placed 12th on the Absa Premiership log with eight points from seven matches.

In head-to-head stats, Maritzburg and Stars have met in 16 league matches since 2005/06.

Dikwena have 10 wins to their name compared to three for the Team of Choice, while three matches have been drawn.

Maritzburg have won just two of their eight home matches against Stars, suffering five defeats in the process.

Last season Dikwena completed a league ‘double’ over United, winning 2-1 in both Pietermaritzburg and Rustenburg.

Kick-off will be at 20:15 on Saturday, October 18.
