Cape Town – Roger De Sa has revealed that the pressure of coaching Ajax Cape Town is completely different from his time at Orlando Pirates.

In an exclusive interview with Sport24, De Sa admitted that life at Ajax is much different from his stint at the Soweto club despite similar routines in coaching.

“There are different pressures which come with each job. Some clubs expect you to win every game and other directors will only expect you to win half your games,” said the Urban Warriors mentor.

“Obviously then the ammunition you’re given is totally different. However, I believe that being a coach in a professional environment is the same all over. I had a fantastic stint at Pirates and am grateful for my time there, but I’m still coaching a football team that is ambitious.”

De Sa added: “Every club has its own unique set of challenges, but there is always a match every week and training sessions to carry out on a daily basis, so nothing really changes.”

Meanwhile, the Mother City club will battle for place in the semi-finals of the 2015 Nedbank Cup when they meet Bidvest Wits at Athlone Stadium on Friday, April 10.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
