Johannesburg - Ajax Cape Town coach, Roger de Sa, has revealed his plans are in the balance to potentially work as an assistant coach for Iran at the 2014 Soccer World Cup.
According to the soccerladuma website, De Sa was expected to join up with his former colleague with Portugal, Carlos Quieroz.. The Portuguese coach helped guide Iran to the tournament in the South American country.
However, the Maputo-born De Sa has since explained that his busy schedule for the Urban Warriors could put paid to any plans he may have had in terms of working for the team.
The 49-year-old did not altogether rule out attending the football world's showpiece event, yet he did disclose it was very unlikely he would be jetting out to Brazil in June.
He said, "It's not confirmed yet. I'm still so busy with Ajax. I've got so much to do, you know. I need to sort out my life first. It's also come right in the middle of my move to Cape Town as well. I'm taking occupation of my house on the first of July. There's also my family to think about as well. So, at this stage, it's in the balance."
