Cape Town – Roger De Sa believes that after reaching 30 points he set a new target for his Ajax Cape Town side.

According to the clubs official website, the Urban Warriors mentor spoke about his sides performance against SuperSport United at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday evening, when the Urban Warriors beat Matsatsantsa 2-1.

Two early goals from Toriq Losper and Erwin Isaacs gave Ajax the 2-0 lead whereby they were able to dictate play throughout the first half.

De Sa pointed out just how close an encounter it was, despite being in a driving seat for a large portion of the match.

“Our performance wasn’t too bad hey,” De Sa said.

“I guess anything away from home is good for us. We are just happy to bounce back after the loss to Chiefs.

“We played with more freedom and flair and we really took the game to them.

“The first half were all us, while the second half went their way.”

Looking ahead to the clash against Mpumalanga Black Aces on Wednesday, it was the Urban Warriors who were in formidable form to knock Clive Barker’s men out of the Telkom Knockout Cup.

“We probably gave our best performance of the season so far against Aces in the Cup game.

“Of cause we hope that we can do the same this time around. Our first objective was to reach 30 points, so we’ve done that now.

“Now we’ll go for 40 points, which I believe is enough for a top eight finish.

“If we can get to it within the next three games, I would be very happy with that,” concluded De Sa.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
