Cape Town - Urban Warriors boss Roger de Sa has defended his side following their goalless draw against AmaZulu after seeing improvement from last year.

According to KickOff.com, de Sa claims that things will get better for Ajax Cape Town ahead of the long campaign.

“It was not as fluid as I would like it to be, but I think things will get better as the time goes on,” said de Sa.

“It was a good point considering that last year we lost both matches and at least now we got a point, so it’s an improvement, but we still have a lot to work on.

The former Orlando Pirates coach hopes that the Urban Warriors foreign and injured players will be back as they can add variety to Ajax Cape Town as the side seek to improve on unsuccesful 2013/14 season.

ABSA Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns is Ajax’s next opponents on Wednesday, August 13 at Cape Town Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:30.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
