According to Soccer Laduma, Gcaba reveals that it will be “good” playining against their former coach but he knows that the Sea Robbers won’t be bothered by playing against him.

“This is a good game. We know we have to play well at home and win games,” the 28-year-old said.

“In most cases we haven't played well at home but it's not that we are under pressure. Playing against our former coach will be good and we won't be proving anything but will just be playing to win and advance to the semi-finals. That's our main aim.”

Ajax boast an incredible track record against Pirates in Cup ties having won them on three occasions in the past, it is the Sowetan giants who have won more silverware than the Urban Warriors.

Roger de Sa’s Cape side are currently on top of the Buccaneers in the Absa Premiership having collected 14 points in seven games, while Vladimir Vermezovic’s side is playing catch up after a poor start to the season are 5th on the log with 11 points.

Pirates and Ajax will battle it out for the passage to the Last 8 during the weekend of 25-26 October. The dates and venues will be confirmed in due course.

Meanwhile Pirates return to action on Saturday, October 18 at Orlando Stadium in a PSL encounter against Free State Stars. Kick-off is at 18:00.
