De Sa ready for Sporting Lisbon challenge

Cape Town - Roger De Sa says that the upcoming match with Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon is a great preparation for the PSL season and he looks forward to an outstanding game.

This first edition of the tournament will showcase the Portuguese giants, Sporting Lisbon and English side Crystal Palace as the two foreign clubs.

“Another test for our young squad, everybody knows how young our squad is but really looking forward to it of course,” De Sa said at the Cape Town Cup press conference.

“We envisioned ourselves in the PSL and we did pretty well,” he said at the press conference.”

De Sa’s side recently played against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Etv Charity Showdowns and managed to only settle one goal in the 3-1 score.

This, however, has not deterred them for the upcoming challenge.

“So this is a test in front of our home crowd, I just hope we put out a big performance.

“It’s a huge preparation game for us.”

The inaugural Cape Town cup pre-season tournament kicks off on Friday at the Cape Town stadium.

SuperSport United plays Crystal Palace at 17:45.

Ajax Cape Town plays Sporting Lisbon at 20:15.
