De Sa heaps praise on Mdabuka

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa believes new recruit Ndiviwe Mdabuka's early season form makes the midfielder one of his best ever signings.

The 24-year-old joined the Urban Warriors from National First Division outfit Vasco da Gama and has hit the ground running, despite his lack of top-flight experience.

Mdabuka was named man of the match after scoring the only goal in Ajax's 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 and had another good performance in the club's first league game of the season, a 1-1 draw with Bidvest Wits.

"Diva [Mdabuka] has been outstanding for us," De Sa told KickOff.

"He's been one of my best signings ever and there's a lot of ways about him that reminds me of Benson Mhlongo when I found him and took him to Wits.

"Of course his progress at Wits was outstanding and I see Diva has a lot of similarities. He's quiet, he goes about his job and he does his job extremely well. I see him as a future star in South African football."
