De Sa: Jali Should Be Fine

Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa says that Andile Jali’s injury is not that serious and the midfielder should return to action soon.

Jali sustained an injury during the Buccaneers’ impressive 4-1 win over Zamalek in the CAF Champions League on Saturday night. He was replaced by Lehlogonolo Masalesa.

"Jali took a knock. He signaled that he wanted to try running it off, so we let him try. When he felt he couldn't continue he came off," De Sa told the Pirates official Twitter account.

"It's nothing in the muscle. It's just a knock so he should be fine," added De Sa.

Pirates' physiotherapist, John Williams, confirmed on the club’s website that Jali’s injury is not serious.

“It is not a groin injury… he got a hard knock to his thigh and he just could not carry on,” Williams told orlandopiratesfc.com.

“We will take the next three or four days to treat him and see how it goes. For now there is nothing to worry about. He does not have to go through scans and stuff. It might just be a bruise but it is nothing too serious,” explained Williams.
