PSL set date for awards evening

Cape Town - The Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg will host the 2014/15 Premier Soccer League Awards for a second year in a row.

The awards will be on Sunday, May 17 (broadcasting time still to be announced).

The nominees for the 2014/15 PSL Awards will be announced on Monday, May 11 at the PSL headquarters in Parktown at 11:00.

There are two new categories under ‘Absa Premiership’:  - ‘Absa Premiership Defender of the Season’ and ‘Absa Premiership Midfielder of the Season’.

All other categories stay the same.

Last season Bidvest Wits maestro, Sibusiso Vilakazi stole the show walking away with some of the biggest awards on the night including the Footballer of the Year (Voted by the coaches), Absa Premiership Player’s Player of the Year (voted by other players) and Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament.
