Da Gama: Nel can learn from Furman

Cape Town - The South African national Under-23 coach Owen Da Gama admits SuperSport United midfielder Morne Nel is still has a lot to learn in his football career.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic mentor says that Nel can brush off the experience and learn from Dean Furman, whom Da Gama regards as a quality player.

Furman penned a two-year deal with Matsatsansta and Da Gama insist that the midfielder will be a great asset to SuperSport.

“Morne [Nel] is still a very young boy and now that SuperSport has got Furman I think this will be a great plus for them,” he told Sport24.

“But in saying that I do think that Morne can really, really learn a lot from Dean Furman.

“He’s a quality player, who will be a great asset to the team,” Owen concluded.

Meanwhile, United will hope to field Furman when they take on Mpumalanga Black Aces at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, August 22.\

Kick-off is at 18:00.
