Cape Town - Platinum Stars head coach Allan Freese confirmed there was still no clarity on the future of Senegalese goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul, who has been on the club's radar for some time now.

The sticking point appears to be the player’s work permit, and Freese explained that the matter was still being discussed extensively, while the player continues to train with the squad.
Until the matter is addressed, the stopper will not be available for selection in the Premiership.
"I don't know - today [Wednesday] they were here in Pretoria, we are working on that and I'm hoping we can get it sorted sooner than later," said Freese.
"Bouna is doing well. He is coming from another environment into a new environment. He is doing well at training. How long the permit is going to take I don't know," added a slightly disappointed Freese.
Coundoul is an experienced campaigner, who has plied his trade extensively abroad, while he also has 18 international caps for the Lions of Teranga.
