Pirates recorded a third straight league win when they defeated Platinum Stars 2-0 away earlier this month.

The Soweto side has claimed 14 points from nine home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Free State Stars, Kaizer Chiefs (both away) and Chippa United (home).

The Buccaneers are placed fourth on the Absa Premiership log with 32 points from 19 matches.

Polokwane have taken seven points from the last nine available, with their latest result a 2-1 win over Moroka Swallows earlier this month.

The Limpopo side has claimed 14 points from nine away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Chippa United, Mamelodi Sundowns (both away) and Bloemfontein Celtic (home).

Rise and Shine are placed fifth on the Absa Premiership log with 28 points from 19 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Pirates and Polokwane have met in three league matches since 2013/14.

The Buccaneers have two wins, while Rise and Shine have claimed one victory.

Pirates’ only previous home match against City was a 1-0 win in the first half of last season.

When the teams met earlier this season, Bucs claimed an emphatic 3-0 away win thanks to goals from Erasmus, Qalinge and Majoro.

Kick-off is at 19:00 on Saturday, February 28.
