Port Elizabeth - German-born coach Ernst Middendorp remains confident Chippa United will achieve their proclaimed objective this season finishing in the top eight teams in the PSL.

They have had a nine-game drought without a victory. Chippa's winless frustration continued on Wednesday night after Polokwane City snatched a late equaliser in their 1-1 draw at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

This resulted in the promoted Port Elizabeth side remaining in 11th position after earlier in the season featuring as high as third on the log.
