According to KickOff.com, the midfielder has been relieved of his duties as club captain at United while also continues in his struggle to impress coach Cavin Johnson.

The Chilli Boys have been extremely active in the transfer market this season in order to avoid a repeat of their 2012/13 season. Chippa had a disasterous campaign during that season which ended in the relegation for the side.

Chippa United, who relocated to Port Elizabeth, will be hoping to lure the 31-year-old to the club before the transfer window closes.

The midfielder is originally from Port Elizabeth and the club will hope that September's roots may tempt him into a move.

Chippa currently find themselves in 9th place on the PSL table after three games.

The club's attempts to stay in the PSL will be tested when they travel to the Harry Gwala Stadium to take on Maritzburg United on Tuesday, August 26 and then host the high-flying Ajax Cape Town at home on Friday, August 29.
