Chippa in talks with Sundowns

Cape Town - The Chilli Boys, who have had a number of players on loan from Sundowns, are in talks with the club to negotiate the players' release for this season.

Siyabulela Shai, Walter Maponyane and Seun Ledwaba all helped the Philippi-based outfit in their promotion to the PSL next season.

According to Soccer-Laduma website, the club’s boss, Siviwe ‘Chippa’ Mpengesi, and CEO, Peter Koutroulis, are in Gauteng to discuss the agreement.

“The chairman and Peter are in Jo’burg trying to sort out the issue of players. Part of their visit there is to discuss the issue of players from Sundowns,” a source at Chippa told the Siya crew.

The Siya crew recently revealed that Chippa signed David Zulu and Mpho Mvelase from Black Leopards and United FC respectively.

Soccer Laduma understands that Mpengesi has not yet returned to the Mother City after attending the PSL’s end-of-the-season awards ceremony at the Sandton Covention Centre on Sunday.
