Chippa beat Ajax in friendly

Cape Town - Chippa United beat Ajax Cape Town 3-0 in a friendly match today (Friday) as both clubs ease into their preparations for the upcoming season.

The Chilli Boys visited the Urban Warriors in Cape Town as they begin their pre-season tour.

Sport24 spoke to Chippa Mpengesi, the club’s owner, who said that their preparations had been going well and have started with a good victory.

“We had a friendly game today with Ajax and beat them 3-0 in Cape Town,” he revealed.

Bafana Bafana midfielder, William Twala, found the back of the net twice and Zimbabwean defender, Eric Chipeta, scored the other.

Chippa now head off to Durban to continue their pre-season before heading back to Port Elizabeth.
