Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have been dealt another blow with striker Takesure Chinyama ruled out for the rest of the season due to a calf injury.
The 30-year-old Zimbabwean is the latest of several injury casualties for the defending PSL champions.
"Takesure Chinyama has been ruled for selection, this after scan results revealed that he has a grade two tear in his calf. According to a medical team, the burly striker will be out for up to four weeks," read a statement on Pirates' website.
Meanwhile, right-back Happy Jele will also miss their next game due to suspension. He picked up his fourth yellow card in their 1-0 win at Wits over the weekend.
Good news though is the he return of midfielder Daine Klate, who has served his one-match suspension.
Pirates, who are currently third on the PSL log, host Chippa United on Tuesday night (19:30 kick-off).
