Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has confirmed the
club will not look to postpone this weekend's clash against Mamelodi
Sundowns after SAFA agreed to charter flights for their international
players.
Amakhosi currently have five first-team players away with Bafana Bafana, who take on Nigeria in Uyo in the final round of 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying on Wednesday.
Initial fears suggested those players would only return on Friday, 24 hours prior to the crunch clash against reigning Premiership champions Sundowns, but South African football's governing body have since agreed to fly them home on Thursday.
"If they (Chiefs' players) had come back on Friday we would have asked for the game to be postponed," Motaung told The Sowetan.
"But (SAFA chief executive) Dennis Mumble assured me that the team would go by charter and that they'll be back before Friday. We are now expecting them Thursday morning. Thursday is not ideal but what can you do?"
Chiefs will be looking to extend their 11-point lead at the top of the PSL standings when they host the Brazilians at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:30 local time.
