Chiefs train meets Wits

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits will look to end Kaizer Chiefs’ unbeaten run in the Absa Premiership when the teams meet at Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday.

Wits recorded a second successive league win when they defeated Black Aces 2-1 away in their last outing.

The Johannesburg side has claimed 13 points from six home matches this season.

The Clever Boys are placed third on the PSL log with 20 points from 12 matches.

Chiefs have yet to taste defeat this season, but have played to three draws in their last four league matches.

The Soweto giants have claimed 16 points from their six away matches this season.

The Amakhosi are placed first on the PSL log with 30 points from 12 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Wits and Chiefs have met in 56 league matches since 1985.

The Amakhosi have 27 wins compared to 10 for the Clever Boys, while 19 matches have been drawn.

Wits have won just two of the 29 home matches against Chiefs down the years, suffering 16 defeats in the process.

Last season the Amakhosi took four points off the Clever Boys, winning 2-1 at home in Soweto before drawing 0-0 away in Johannesburg.

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Wednesday, December 3.
