Chiefs to sign 'two players'

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung confirmed they will announce "next week" the identities of their intended transfer targets, with a striker and a defender thought to have already been signed.

According to the Football411 website, Amakhosi will be looking to strengthen in the off-season as they prepare to defend their PSL crown, and reports in Soweto claim the Glamour Boys have already agreed terms for two new players.

And while Chiefs have refused to confirm or deny the reports, Motaung has revealed any news on the situation will be made public when coach Stuart Baxter returns from holiday.

"We have not finalised anything like that and I don't want any contradictions," Motaung told The Sowetan.

"We will be making an announcement next week once the coach is back from England. He is due back on Saturday or Sunday."
