Acting assistant coach Doctor Khumalo said the impact the pair had made as a substitute in Chiefs’ last two games dictated they be given a chance in the starting line-up when they meet SuperSport United at Soccer City on Saturday night.
“Both Lebese and Masango made a difference in the second half and we’ll probably give them a chance to be in the starting line-up next time,” he said.
Lebese scored for Chiefs after coming on against Santos at the Athlone stadium on Sunday but it was too little, too late as AmaKhosi lost 1-2.
It was the second goal of the season for Lebese while Masango last found the net against Moroka swallows in February.
Chiefs have now lost three games in a row since Donald Khuse and Khumalo were appointed to take over the side for the rest of the season, following the sacking of Vladimir Vermezovic.
