The 25-year-old midfielder-cum-striker has told the People's Team he is unwilling to go down with the team to the National First Division, which has resulted in the Cape Town outfit taking the decision to put the player up for transfer
Amakhosi football manager Bobby Motaung told Football411 the Soweto club will make a decision on whether to take on the player sometime next week after first consulting with Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung and head coach Stuart Baxter.
"We haven't had a discussion about Erwin Isaacs, but we will meet the chairperson Kaizer Motaung and the coach (on Friday)," he said.
"If the coach wants him, then we will look into it but at the moment what has happened is that Santos have spoken to me about the player and the only thing remaining is to consult with the coach.
"They were in camp and only arrived back on Wednesday so we had to give the coach some time to work with the current team and he will tell us if he needs to reinforce," Motaung stated.
However, 'Bobsteak' added that Santos' approach does not mean Chiefs will definitely buy the player.
"Like I said, we have to speak to the coach and find out if he is keen on further reinforcements of the team. Santos offered me the player, but it all depends on whether Stuart will be interested in the player," he added.
Motaung confirmed the asking price for Isaacs is R3.5 million.
