Chiefs to get Musona on loan

Cape Town - Knowledge Musona could complete his move to Kaizer Chiefs on a season-long-loan by the end of the week.

According to Soccer Laduma, reports in Germany suggest that the striker could not secure a move to a European club and now will return to the Naturena.

The 24-year-old has been reportedly training in Spain with Granada CF before he returned to Germany with Hoffenheim.

Last week Sport24 reported that Chiefs haven’t given up hope on signing Musona after reports suggested the striker is on trial in Spain but Musona's agent Mike Makaab has denied reports that the Zimbabwean striker is on trial at the La Liga side.

“No it's absolutely not true. Knowledge is in the final stages of rehabilitation following his injury and is still at Hoffenheim,” Makaab stated.

Chiefs football manager, Bobby Motaung, said last month that in the next few weeks they will let the public know whether Musona will return to the Naturena or not.

“You should understand he is an international player and he needs the best for him. We will let you know,” Motaung said.

It seems that the deal will be done as soon as Friday which makes Musona eligible play, subject to work permit.

Amakhosi are up against a very ambitious Mpumalanga Black Aces on Wednesday, August 13 in the PSL after coming off a 1-0 win over Free State Stars in their opening league encounter.
