According to Soccer Laduma, there is no such position at Amakhosi (Chief Executive Officer) and Motaung jnr will duly fall into that position.

However, the move will only happen once the former Chiefs striker completes his studies after which he will join the family business.

His father who is the current Chairman and founded the Sowetan club back in 1970 and named the club after himself and the former club he played for in the North American Soccer League. (the Atlanta Chiefs). Known as ‘Chincha Guluva’, the 70-year-old has not hide the fact that Amakhosi is a family venture with having appointed his son Bobby Motaung as football manager and daughter as marketing manager.

Motaung Jnr however, gained experience and knowledge over the years having played in England and Germany before returning to Amakhosi.

He has made over 120 appearances for the Glamour Boys having scored more than 30 goals in the process.

Retiring at the age of 32 in February 2014 the player said, “Football has always been a part of who I am, and it is a part of who I always will be.”

“My kick-off into life after football has already been signaled. I have decided to focus my energy into furthering my education by completing my degree, which I have been doing on a part-time basis while being a Kaizer Chiefs player.”

It is not known when the now 33-year-old will graduate from his studies but he confirms that football will always follow him wherever he goes.
