Chiefs reject late Euro bid

Johannesburg - Prosport International have revealed that Kaizer Chiefs rejected a last-gasp bid for one of their players from an unnamed European club.

According to the Soccer-Laduma website, the transfer window slammed shut at 17:00 on Friday afternoon, and Head of World Football Paschalis Tountouris revealed that there was late movement from a European club to try and secure the services of one of Chiefs' players.

Tountouris revealed the news via a Tweet on Saturday morning, where he declared, "@Kaizer_Chiefs have rejected a last min offer from Europe for one of our clients @ProsportInt .They're eager to win all trophies this season."

The players that could be the subject of the bid are Tsepo Masilela, Bernard Parker or youngster Lorenzo Gordinho - though it has not been confirmed by the South African side.

Chiefs are currently preparing for a tough outing against SuperSport United early on Saturday evening as they look to return to their best following a loss and a draw in the MTN8 and league respectively.
